Welcome to Syspirit, my personal technical logbook. I drop my notes, hands-on experiments and cheatsheets here, on Linux, infra and self-hosting.

I'm Karl 👋 sysadmin, 5 years of experience. Started in support, moved to sysadmin, and these past few months I was an Ops in a DevOps environment. No formal training on Linux or IaC: I learned on the job, thanks to helpful colleagues, a lot of tech-watching, and a Proxmox HomeLab that's been running 24/7.

Tech-wise, I've mostly worked with Terraform, Ansible, Docker, GitLab CI, on vSphere and OpenStack. Right now I'm studying cloud (AWS SAA next) to grow into a proper Infra/Cloud Engineer role. Kubernetes will be the logical next step.

Syspirit is my way to keep learning, write down what I figure out, and share my notes: quick tips, more in-depth tutorials, and all the cheatsheets I rely on day to day.
